Nursing Homes / Assisted Living

There is one nursing home and three assisted living facilities in the Taylorsville area:

Hospice & Home Care
of Alexander County

Hospice Care accepts patients with any terminal illness who have a primary care giver in the home. Most hospice care is given in the home, nursing home or rest home, allowing the patient to remain in a familiar atmosphere. If hospitalization or respite care is required, hospice continues their support program, accommodating the needs of the patient and family.

Habitat for Humanity works in partnership with God and people everywhere, from all walks of life, to develop communities with people in need by building and renovating houses so that there are decent houses in decent communities in which every person can experience God's love and can live and grow into all that God intends.

The Christian Crisis Center

The Christian Crisis Center meets the physical needs of the people of Alexander County. The primary emphasis is to help those who, for whatever reason, find themselves in crisis precipitating a need for food, heating fuel, clothing or furniture. The Christian Crisis Center has recently moved into a new location on 5th Avenue SW in Taylorsville, next door to the Alexander Baptist Association at the back of the parking lot.
