The
Alexander County Emergency Medical Service (EMS) responds
to calls throughout the county relating to any need requiring emergency
medical attention.

The main
station is located at 2430 Highway 90 East of Taylorsville near
the Department of Transportation and
houses administrative, billing and training offices as
well as two Paramedic crews. A satellite base is located in the Bethlehem
Community at 9110 Highway 127 which houses one Paramedic crew.
The
Alexander EMS mission is to provide pre-hospital care and transportation
to the victims of sudden illness or injury and to provide medically
necessary non-emergency ambulance transportation.
Alexander
County EMS employs 20 full time employees and a number of part time
employees and provides service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
