The Alexander
County Rescue Squad and EMS, Inc. is located behind Town
Hall and responds to calls requiring specialized
rescue equipment such as the "jaws
of life".
The
majority of the rescue equipment is housed at this location and maintained
by the Alexander Rescue Squad.
The
Alexander County Rescue Squad is staffed
by male and female volunteers who spend many hours in training and
rescue services throughout the county. They provide standby support
to the County Emergency Services and serve as First Responders in
medical emergencies.
The
dedicated volunteers of the Rescue Squad proudly protects approximately
264 square miles and approximately 34,000 citizens and have been
serving our county since 1959.
